2. Scope of the service, and its limits
This is the most important clause in the document. It is repeated verbatim from the scope declaration published on the site so that a reader who opens only the terms still reads it in full.
- Qimah-academy Academy provides training. It delivers courses, sets exercises, marks them and issues a certificate recording the hours a learner attended and the assessment they passed. That is the entire service offered.
- The academy does not provide investment advice. Nothing taught, written or said by an instructor is a recommendation or an opinion on the merits of buying, selling or holding anything. Instructors decline personal financial questions and refer them to a licensed adviser.
- The academy does not receive or manage money other than course fees. It holds no client funds, operates no accounts on anyone's behalf and takes no commission from any provider of any financial product.
- The academy does not present investment opportunities and does not introduce learners to anyone. Where a course covers preparing a plan or a report for a financial reader, it teaches the preparation and stops there.
- No course, page or instructor states or implies a future financial outcome for any learner. Figures used in class are worked examples chosen to demonstrate a method.
- A certificate from this academy records training. It is not a professional licence, not a university qualification and not a permit to carry out any regulated activity. Courses covering valuation prepare a learner to understand and check a valuation; they do not make anyone an accredited valuer, which is a separate matter for the competent authority.
- This website takes no payments. It has no checkout, no card field and no payment provider. Fees are settled with the academy directly after a written quotation.
Activities such as investment advice, dealing in securities and asset management are regulated in the Kingdom and require authorisation from the competent authority. The academy carries out none of them. If anyone tells you otherwise while using our name, that person is not acting for us, and we ask you to report it to the academy at the address in clause 1.
3. What this website is
This site is an information site. It publishes the tracks, the modules and their hours and outcomes, the delivery formats and the details of the operating entity, and it lets you register your interest.
- It does not enrol you. Sending the form starts a conversation, creates no obligation on either side and reserves no place.
- It takes no payments and has no checkout.
- It has no learner account, no login and no learner area.
Where this site and a document signed at the academy differ, the signed document governs.
4. Enrolment and placement
4.1 How a place is taken
After the form there is a placement call, and then the fee, the module schedule and the start date are sent in writing. A place exists once registration is completed with the academy and the fee is settled on the terms then quoted.
4.2 Placement
Tracks state the knowledge they assume. The academy may decline an enrolment, or propose a different track, where the level plainly does not fit. This protects the learner's fee and the group's time and is not a judgement of anyone.
4.3 Identification
Valid original identification is checked once, in person at registration, so that a certificate can be issued in the correct name. Enrolment is for adults aged eighteen and over.
4.4 Group sizes
Places are capped so that every submission can be marked by a person. Where a group does not reach the minimum number the academy may move the start date, will tell you before it does, and will refund in full if the new date does not suit.
5. Fees, cancellation and refunds
5.1 Fees
Fees depend on the track, the delivery format and the group size. They are quoted in writing before you commit, and the quoted figure is the figure charged. Where value added tax applies it is shown in the quotation. There is no charge for the placement call.
5.2 Cancellation by you
| When you cancel | What happens |
|---|---|
| More than 7 days before the start date | Full refund |
| Between 7 days and the start date | Full refund less an administration charge stated in your written quotation |
| After the start, before a quarter of the hours have run | Refund of half the fee |
| After a quarter of the hours have run | No refund, and the place stays open to you for the rest of the track |
| Transfer to a later intake, requested before the start date | Permitted once at no charge, subject to a place being available |
| Cancelled or postponed by the academy | Full refund without deduction, or the new date, at your choice |
5.3 Cancellation by the academy
If the academy cancels a track or a workshop, everything paid is refunded in full without deduction, whatever the reason. If the academy postpones, you may take the new date or a full refund.
5.4 Missed sessions
A session missed by a learner is not refunded, but where a live online recording exists it is made available so the material can be caught up. A recording does not count towards the attendance required for a certificate.
6. Attendance and certificates
Attendance is recorded against the published hours for each module. A certificate of completion is issued to learners who meet the attendance threshold stated in the joining details and pass the assessment.
A certificate records the track, the hours attended and the assessment passed, and is verifiable with the academy on request.
A certificate is not a professional licence, not a university qualification and not a permit to carry out any regulated activity, as clause 2 above states.
7. Conduct and materials
7.1 In the room and online
Recording a session, photographing other learners, or sharing session access with anyone outside the group is not permitted. The academy may end a learner's participation for conduct that disrupts a group after a warning, refunding unused paid time on the basis in clause 5.2.
7.2 Course materials
Workbooks, exercises, model files and recordings are provided for the enrolled learner's own use, remain the property of the academy, and may not be republished, resold or used to deliver training elsewhere.
7.3 Personal questions
Instructors will not answer questions about a learner's own money, holdings or plans, however they are phrased, and will redirect them to the general principle being taught. This is a rule for the instructors and follows directly from clause 2.
8. Liability
The academy is responsible for delivering the track it sold: the published hours, the stated syllabus, an instructor present, and assessment carried out and returned marked.
The academy is not responsible for decisions a learner makes after a course, financial or otherwise. Teaching a method is not endorsing any use of it, and nothing in the courses is a recommendation to act in any particular way.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that Saudi law does not allow to be limited, including liability for harm caused by the academy's own negligence.
9. Website content and names
The text, photographs, layout and code of this website belong to the operating entity or are used with permission. You may read, print and share pages for your own use. Republishing or reusing the content commercially requires written permission.
Brand names of other organisations mentioned anywhere on this site, including standard setters and the advertising and analytics platforms named in the privacy policy, belong to their owners and are used only to identify those bodies or services. No affiliation with, endorsement by, or accreditation from any of them is claimed.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any enrolment agreement concluded under them, are governed by the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Saudi courts, and the Arabic text prevails in the event of a difference between language versions.
If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the rest continues in force.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The version in force is the one published on this page on the day you read it, with the date shown below. A change does not apply to a track already paid for before the change was published.
